At Second Chance Owl, we strive to provide high-quality, preloved educational resources at reasonable prices. We carefully collect a wide variety of materials that foster learning, growth, and development for children.
History
In 2024, Second Chance Owl proudly reopened in Alberta, excited to serve a new community and expand our reach.
Originally founded in 2021 in Ontario, Second Chance Owl has been dedicated to helping educators and parents find quality resources that meet their needs at reasonable prices—getting them into the hands of young learners who will benefit most.
We are a community-driven business, partnering with several local education-based programs. With a proven track record of success, we are committed to providing high-quality service and meaningful resources for years to come.

Hi! I’m Christena, the heart behind Second Chance Owl.
I started this business because I’ve had an interest in entrepreneurship since I was a child and have always been drawn to work that is deeply connected to the community. While I’m still new to the small business world, I’m learning and growing every day.
I’m a veteran’s wife and a homeschooling mom of two. I love being crafty, coffee, plants, and spending time out in nature. I also have a background in dance, performing, and early education, which strongly influences the work I do today.
